Eckart has completed its first production facility in Asia, located in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China. The 33,000 square-meter site includes manufacturing for aluminum pigments for use in coatings and metallic printing inks. The facilities will also house laboratories, distribution shipping warehouses and offices. The company invested approximately €10 million. Capacity will be 2,200 metric tons per year and will be expanded to 5,000 metric tons in the coming years. Eckart Zhuhai will be Altana’s fifth production location in China, in addition to its numerous service laboratories and sales offices.
